UUF Snow Policy
With the availability of Zoom, we do not anticipate cancelling any future services because of snow and ice. However, there could be days when snow and ice causes us to keep the church building closed. On such days, Zoom will be the only option for joining the service.
On Saturdays, when current conditions or the forecast for the next 24 hours makes it possible that travel to the church on Sunday could be risky, a decision will be made on Saturday evening whether to open the church building on Sunday or not. It is our intention to communicate the decision two ways:
1. Check your e-mail. A message will be sent to all of those who receive weekly invitations with Zoom details to services.
2. Check our UUF Facebook page. The decision will be posted there.
If you neither receive weekly email invitations nor are on Facebook, you can get the decision by sending an email to [email protected].
With Zoom's capabilities, we expect we will always have a Zoom option for every service. So, if you have trouble getting the decision or it has been decided that the church building is open, but you are unsure of whether it is really safe to come to the church or not, we recommend that you stay home and participate via Zoom. We love to see you in person, but safety is more important.
